Wendy Hersh

Wendy Hersh (bass) is a seasoned musician, songwriter, performer and music educator who has lived and worked in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years. Her music career started at age 5 on piano, and continued with clarinet, violin, guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. She toured the United States and Greenland playing bass with various acts including the Classics IV, the Marvelettes, members of the Flamingos, and Her-Ricane. 

 

After moving to Los Angeles she played the original band “Hollywood/Sunset strip scene”. Wendy was in the house band at the famous China Club for the Women in Rock series. She has recorded with several pop/alternative bands as well as releasing her own original CD of music for children. Her WACKY WENDEE shows for kids keep her active and young at heart. During lockdown she performed  virtually  with musicians all over the globe on Jamulus live World Jam shows.

She is an in-demand bassist playing with several classic rock and tribute bands. Her  repertoire spans genres from big band swing, to country, to  pop/rock hits of the various decades and of course BLUES. Strong grooves and melodic fills keep the vibe moving and exciting. Her energetic stage personae and ability to go wireless into the crowd complements her technical ability on bass.
